American colt NOVAK
(Officer - Celines Melody by Maria's Mon) made it three wins from three
starts with a gutsy display in a Class 4 - 1200m handicap at Sungei Besi
here today.
The three-year-old took the
scene by storm back in January when he won in Restricted Terms by seven
lengths. After an enforced lay-off, he again impressed when he easily
accounted for Class 4 opposition last month, providing apprentice Mohamed
Firdaus (MM Firdaus) with his maiden success.
NOVAK provided Firdaus with
his second win today but the young apprentice had to work hard for the
victory, prevailing in a three-way photo to win by a head.
Meanwhile, Jose De Souza
continued his good recent run of success to boot home a double on BEFLEDGED
(Hidden Dragon - Golf Circuit by Groucho) and GOOD GOOD LUCK (Magic Albert -
Our Impala by Humam) and moved within four winners of leading jockey Eirwan
Khalid who had 48 winners.
