On a rare night when Joao
Moreira failed to land a winner, another Brazilian, Ivaldo Santana, stole
the limelight by booting home a double at Kranji this evening.
Santana, who scored in his
only previous ride on THE RUDE WARRIOR (Kempinsky - Soorena by Encosta De
Lago) last August, was again successful on the Australian gelding in the
Kranji Stakes C - 1900m event. It was the third win in 15 starts for the
four-year-old.
Santana then made it count
in his first ride on GREAT LIGHT (Pure Prize - Hello Kitty by Quiet
American) in the Class 3 - 1200m handicap.
It was the second win by
the Argentinean gelding in 10 starts in Singapore, after having won in his
only runs in Argentina.
