Apprentice Lim win first race in Malaysia

PENANG:  Oct 13, 2012

Apprentice Lim Shung Uai booted home his first winner in Malaysia when he partnered JERAM LIONCITY (Chinese Gold - Kiwi Summer by Desert Sun) to victory in a Class 5 - 1700m handicap here today.

The rookie had 16 rides previously and his best efforts were two third placing, including a third on the same horse here last week.

JERAM LIONCITY, who had four previous wins, including two earlier this year, has been gradually racing back to form and today's success came as a welcome change of luck for the young lad and hope for the future.

Meanwhile, NO UNCERTAINTY (Trade Fair - Princess Camilla by King's Best) defied a promotion to complete a hat-trick in spectacular fashion in the Class 3 - 1700m handicap.

Ridden by Jose De Souza, the five-year-old won by five and a quarter lengths for his sixth win in 24 starts.
