Tiger Captain back in winning form

PENANG:  Aug 18, 2012

It's has been a long journey back to the winner's circle for TIGER CAPTAIN (Ahkenaton - Minimoon by El Moxie) who unsurprisingly provided the shock of the afternoon in a Class 5 - 1400m handicap here today.

Some 23 months have passed since the Australian gelding registered his only previous win and during this time managed just three placings. Two of them, however, have come in recent months.

The turning point today was perhaps the engagement of Khalid Eirwan on the seven-year-old with the leading jockey bringing the best of the gelding to win by one and a quarter lengths. He paid RM227 for a win.
