Mighty Triple Ace wins
another feature KUALA LUMPUR:

MIGHTY TRIPLE ACE, who
sprang a surprise to win the Tunku Gold Cup (1200m) here back in January,
added another feature race to his name when he took out the RM100,000
International Racing Carnival Metro Stakes (1200m) at Sungei Besi here
today.
It was on this track more
than four ago when the seven-year-old gave his trainer Katherine Hughes a
historic first big race win.
MIGHTY TRIPLE ACE (Testa
Rossa - Brave Scene by Scenic) failed to see out the Selangor Gold Cup
(1600m) last time out but reverting to a distance he had won eight times
previously, he prevailed by three-quarter of a length.
CALIFORNIAN JET (California
Dane - Flying Vista by Soviet Star) came good in his third start to carve
out a narrow win in a Malaysia 3YO Championship heat over 1100m to ensure
champion trainer Richard Lines will have a runner in the championship final
in Penang on July 1.
Veteran trainer Leong Poh
Keong will also have a representative after newcomer MONEY IS KING (Gonski -
Ambitious Lady) landed the price after winning the other heat over 1200m.
