New apprentice Troy See has taken just five rides to record his first win when successful on SEIZE THE DAY (Happy Giggle - Freakly Fran by Integra) in the Class 4 - 1100m handicap on the polytrack at Kranji today.

A graduate of the Singapore Training Academy for Racing (STAR), the 23-year-old is indentured to trainer David Kok and it was for his master that he made his breakthrough.

Showing maturity despite his lack of experience, See settled SEIZE THE DAY well off the pace and brought him with a well-timed run to beat the front-running ALPHA DYNAMIC by a head in a thrilling finish.

See, who was introduced to racing by his late father Dexter, Dexter, an avid racing fan and horse owner, was elated at the victory. "“It feels fantastic. I wished I could do this again," he said.

Judging from the way he handled the pressure of a very tight finish, more wins are sure to come his way.
