Good weekend for veteran trainers

It has been a good weekend of a few veteran trainers.

Leong Poh Keong, who saddled three winners yesterday, added another to his name when JOYFUL AFFAIR (Occidental Tourist - Mayfield by Straight Strike) triumphed in a Class 5 - 1400m handicap. It was his fifth win in 47 starts.

Peter Lee, who failed to saddle a winner last year and was given a six-month licence for the new season, doubled his score when YOU LITTLE RIPPER (Honours List - Acquirenda by Arazi) returned to winning form after 18 months in a Class 5 - 1400m handicap for his second win in 22 starts.

K M "Tommy" Noordin, who sent out three winners last year, got into the winning act when SUNNY STAR (Vitrinite - Clouding by Sea Swell) picked up his second win in his last four starts in the last event. It was his sixth win in 48 starts.
