A big feature of the racing
scene in Malaysia this year has been the record number of Malaysian breds
winning in open company.
One of the local breds who
has contributed significantly to this record haul is VISTA (Pacific Prince -
AR Registered by North Reef) who was successful in the Dynamite Trio 1991
Handicap (Class 5 - 1200m) here today.
Ridden by Jackson Low, the
five-year-old entire returned to form after notching back-to-back wins in
January to record his third win of the season.
It was the fourth win in 35
starts for VISTA who has registered all his victories after coming under
trainer Richard Lines in November last year.
VISTA was the second leg of
a double for Low who had earlier scored on FROM ZERO (Redoutable - Dalian by
Jeune).
Also booting home a double
was Eirwan Khalid who boosted his chances of winning the title this year
with wins on LIGHTING ROSE (Brocco - Classy Polly by Sky Classic) and WARN
YOU MAN (Monashee Mountain - Kampalette by Kampala).
Eirwan leads the table with
53 wins, six ahead of Jose De Souza who kept up the chase with a win on
SPECIAL STAR (Kaapstad - Quinta Special by Spectrum).
