AFFIRMATION races home on the
outside for his best win yet

In the middle of last year,
AFFIRMATION was on a roll notching up three wins in four starts in the space
of two months after he found himself in lowly Class 5.
Winner of two races in New
Zealand prior to coming to Singapore, the gelding had a decent 2011 season
winning twice, once each in Class 4 and 5.
But it was only last year
AFFIRMATION showed just why his owners were willing to part with NZ$700,000
to secure him as a yearling.
Given a three-month let-up
after his three wins, the six-year-old resumed three weeks ago with a
smack-up third and stepped up in that effort to win the Class 3 - 1200m
sprint on the polytrack at Kranji here tonight.
With his sixth win tonight,
AFFIRMATION brought his earnings to over S$243,000. Still a long way to
recover his purchase price but more wins should come his way.
