Booky Boy makes it four wins in a row

KUALA LUMPUR:  Dec 14, 2013

After a dismal campaign in Singapore during which he finished down the field in six starts, BOOKY BOY has enjoyed a respectable 18 months in Malaysia with seven wins in 24 outings.

After achieving all his previous wins in the lower two classes, the Brazilian gelding showed that he is ready to move up the ranks when he captured the RM75,000 Connolly's Red Mills Irish Trophy for Class 3 horses over 1400m at Sungei Besi here today.

It was his fourth consecutive race victory and brought his earning to just over RM260,000.

The main feature of the afternoon, the RM100,000 Chairman Guineas Trophy, a set-weight event over 1400m, was won by eight-year-old CONFLIENCE who recorded his eighth win in 44 starts.
