| ALWAYS CERTAIN getting the

ALWAYS CERTAIN bounced back
to winning form to record his first win since taking out the Raffles Cup in
October 2011 when he triumphed in the Open Handicap over 1400m at Kranji
here today.
It made up for a
disappointing 2012 during which he raced just eight times including two runs
in Dubai. An leg problem also ruled him out of the Singapore Airlines
International Cup in May.
But the Australian gelding
showed a glimpse of his old form when he finished fourth to WHAT NOW in the
EW Barker Trophy last November.
With Manoel Nunes
partnering him for the first time today, ALWAYS CERTAIN settled well back in
the field but came with a well-timed run in the straight to win by
three-quarter length from the pacemaker GHOZI.
ALWAYS CERTAIN has now
eight wins and nine minor placings from 35 starts.
