After tasting his first defeat in three starts on the turf last start, PERFECT CHARGER was back in the winner's circle when racing on the polytrack at Kranji here tonight.

The New Zealand gelding landed in Singapore unraced and created big impression when winning his debut over 1100m on the polytrack in Restricted Maiden company back in May.

This was followed another victory over the same course and distance in Class 4 and he found PEACE NO WAR just a shade too good over 1200m last time out.

Back to racing on the polytrack, PERFECT CHARGER started odds-on, settled in second spot early and had the race won a long way out, winning by two lengths and a quarter.

"He had topweight and was racing on the turf which was against him last time," said trainer Alvin Tan. "He has been sweating quite a lot in his trackwork recently and lost a bit of weight which helped him tonight."
