Dragon Dynasty wins 4YO Sprinter challenge

PENANG:  Sep 29, 2013

DRAGON DYNASTY, who failed to quality for the Malaysia 3YO Championship final earlier this year despite finishing second in one of the heats, has made a flying start to the 4YO Challenge series by winning the first leg, the Sprinter Challenger, over 1200m here today.

The heavy going today played right up to the Australian gelding's alley as in his last start, he trashed his rivals by six lengths in soft going at Sungei Besi.

Ridden by apprentice Rueven Ravindra who also partnered him last time out, DRAGON DYNASTY came from well off the pace early to win drawing away by two lengths from GHOST STREET who was going for his fourth consecutive win.

The favourite HARDEN UP was all at seas on the wet track, finishing ninth of 11 runners.
