Street Dream off to a winning start

Hudson Stable, who brought in a big team of 24 horses from the United States last year, has been rewarded with their first win when STREET DREAM scored a runaway in his debut in the Restricted Maiden - 1200m sprint here today.

Trainer Prakhash Pereira has given his new additions a thorough preparation after their arrival last July as only a handful of them has begun racing.

STREET DREAM, who cost US$20,000 as a yearling, was quick to shown his class in his debut today, although he proved a handful at the barrier and had to be loaded riderless.

With Alan Ng in the saddle, the three-year-old quickly took command from his No. 1 barrier and kept up a relentless gallop to win by four and a half lengths.
