ITALIAN JOB and SUPER KENNY
have both returned to racing after a six-month break earlier this year to
make it two wins from two with victories at Kranji here tonight.
ITALIAN JOB won his debut
last February and was given a let-up after two subsequent unplaced outings.
The American gelding
resumed racing with an all-the-way win in a Novice event last month and has
done the same again in Graduation company over 1100m on the polytrack
tonight, ridden for the second time in Jose Verenzuela. This time out,
however, the gelding won by a runaway five and a quarter lengths.
SUPER KENNY returned after
his unplaced run in the Singapore 3YO Sprint to win a Benchmark 74 event
over 1000m on the polytrack last month and repeated the feat in Class 3
tonight. It was the gelding's fourth win in 13 starts.
For the first time in a
long while, the nine races tonight produced nine winning jockeys.
David Kok, the trainer of
ITALIAN JOB, was the only trainer with a winning double, having also saddled
BLACK SORCERER in the Initation - 1200m sprint.
