LITTLEBITOFJOY prevails in a three-way battle to win the
Perak Derby

LITTLEBITOFJOY, crowned Champion 4YO in Malaysia last year after winning the final two of three legs of the 4YO Challenge series, has stamped his class on a bigger stage by taking out the RM500,000 Perak Derby over 2400m here today.

Ridden for the for the first time by Andrew John Sundradas, the American gelding was coming up against a formidable field that included multiple classic winners and last season's Derby winner.

But LITTLEBITOFJOY proved more than a match for his rivals, defeating the nine-time winner SPEED BABY by a neck with GOOD SIGHT a further half a length away third.

It was his sixth win in 18 starts in Malaysia after winning once from three runs in the United States, and give first full-season trainer Edylyn Goh her first major win.
