Emperor Max rules again for third win

As a yearling, there were high expectations for EMPEROR MAX when he was put in the sale ring with a reserved price of A$120,000. The son of Holy Roman Emperor was, however, passed in at A$110,000.

Health issues meant that EMPEROR MAX began racing only as a late two-year-old but he quickly drew attention with an eight-length win in his debut at the provincial track of Warrnambool.

He had four starts in stronger company at three, finishing fourth at Flemington and recorded his second win at Morphettville.

But it is in Singapore that the now four-year-old is beginning to show his true worth.

A debut win in Class 4 in early October was followed by another victory last month in Class 3.

Ridden for the third consecutive race by Lisa Allpress, EMPEROR MAX completed a hat-trick when he made most of the running to win the Class 3 sprint over 1200m on the polytrack at Kranji tonight.
