Nunes bounces back from fall with high-five

Manoel Nunes was at his brilliant best at Kranji today when he rode the winners of the first four races and wrapped up the afternoon with a fifth in the final.

His first five-timer in Singapore since relocating from Macau this year came after he was dislodged from MIRACLE PRAY who broke down and fell in the last race on Friday afternoon.

"I hit the ground pretty hard but got up okay. But the next day, I felt sore and I was not sure if I could ride today," said Nunes. But doctors gave Nunes the all-clear to fulfil his engagement of nine rides and Nunes never looked back.

He bounced back in the best possible way when he was unbeatable in the first four races, riding for four different trainers. All but INSPIRE started favoruite.

And it was another favourite, JOYOUS EXPRESS, who brought up a memorable afternoon for Nunes who is well in sight of his target of 100 wins for the season. He has has 74 but trails Joao Moreira who is well in the lead with 126 wins.
