Welcome change of luck for
apprentice Razali PENANG: Oct 5, 2013 |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Apprentice Razali Musa enjoyed a welcome change of luck when he piloted OPTIMUS PRIME to victory in a Class 4 - 1400m handicap here today. It was only his second win of the season during which he sat out four months due to a suspension. Razali began his association with OPTIMUS PRIME three starts back, finishing third. The pair found one to beat in VELLFIRE last week and went one better this time, winning by half a length. OPTIMUS PRIME had two wins in his debut season last year and has now picked up two victories this year. HONEST MAN once again demonstrated his liking for the wet tracks when he triumphed in a Class 5 - 1300m sprint to complete a winning double for the meeting. The seven-year-old registered his first win for more than 10 months when successful over 1200m in heavy going last week. With the same rider How Yang astride and a similar track today, the New Zealand gelding again led his rivals on a merry chase to record his fifth win in 36 starts. |
