Rush gets back to winning ways

PENANG:  Aug 18, 2013

After a difficult 11 months, former Singapore galloper RUSH (late Ace Amici) regained his winning touch with a shock win in the Class 3 - 1300m handicap here today.

Partnered by apprentice Thanggarajaneesh Munusamy (M Ganeesh), the Australian gelding was fully tested by last start winner MILITARY ATTACK before winning by a head in heavy going. and paid a thumping RM352 for a win.

RUSH had a fantastic debut season at Kranji in 2011 when he scored thrice from five starts. He struggled to reproduce that form last year although he did pick up a win in Class 3 in September.

Following some dismal runs, he was shipped over to Malaysia earlier this year.

Today's outing was his fourth in the country and third under trainer Shanmugam Subramaniam.
