For the second time this
season, jockey Jai Shankar has his best ever meeting when he booted home
four winners.
Shankar, who had his best
season yet when he finished third behind Eirwan Khalid and Jose De Souza in
the jockey's premiership with 49 winners last year, first achieved the feat
in Ipoh on Jan 13.
Shankar was off to a flying
start when he took the first two races on SYCE CRACKER and CHINESE STREET,
two horses he had success with in the past.
Shankar went on to take the
main event, the Table 1 - 1600m event on HARRYS PAL and wound up the
afternoon with CAPTAIN PENANG, whose only previous win came more than 26
months ago.
Brazilian jockey Jose De
Souza also had a fine afternoon with three winners, two of which are trained
by Dr Tan Swee Hock who himself also ended up with a treble.
