Leading jockey Shankar shines with treble

PENANG:  Apr 28, 2013

Jai Shankar consolidated his position at the top of the jockey's table with a treble here today.

Shankar, who had his best season last year finishing third behind Eirwan Khalid and Jose De Souza, struck first with DAVID DYNASTY, a colt he had ridden to success at the beginning of the year for trainer Kevin Coetzee.

Shankar then combined with trainer DR Tan Swee Hock to land two more winners with JOE CZARINA and MR LUCKY.

Tan had earlier found success with THREE THOUGHTS, who was racing for him for the rest time today.

With the results, Coetzee and Tan are level at the top of the trainer's table with 19 winners apiece.
