Ghost Stable, who came into
racing in a big way last year, was rewarded with a big prize when GHOST
STREET carved out an exciting win in the RM200,000 Malaysia 3YO Championship
Final over 1400m here today.
The stable took over some
horses locally and imported several youngsters from overseas and entrusted
them to Jerome Tan in Penang. It was one of their imports which gave them
their biggest success yet.
GHOST STREET, who was
purchased for A$25,000 at the Horses In Training Sale, started second
favourite in the final field narrowed down after six heats at the three
Malaysian clubs.
HARDEN UP, who did his
early racing in Singapore with a win from four starts at Kranji, nearly made
it two-from-two in Malaysia but just failed to catch GHOST STREET by a nose
after being well back in the running.
Third was MIRACLE PRAY, the
only filly in the line-up.
It was the fourth win in
six starts for GHOST STREET.
