After notching six wins in
a highly successful season in 2012, it took NO UNCERTAINTY nine months to
carve out his first win this year.
His return to the winner's
circle came on the heels of three good placings in his last four starts.
In his last start, NO
CERTAINTY, ridden by Azhar Ismail for the first time, started favourite but
found one to beat in TAICHI MASTER in a Class 3 - 1600m handicap at Sungei
Besi last month.
Azhar was back on the
Australian gelding here today, and the pair made amends to see off five
rivals in the Class 3 - 1700m handicap, winning by a neck to pay RM8 for a
win.
FLYING GIFT cause the big
upset of the day when he scrapped home by a nose in the Class 4 - 1600m
event to pay RM139 for a win, giving apprentice Shafrizal Salleh just his
second win.
Jockey Mohd Yusof also had
plenty of reasons to celebrate after notching his first win of the season on
TEN SENSE WIN.
