Apprentices stole the
thunder from their senior riders when they won four of the seven races
contested here today, including the two feature events.
PAST IMPERFECT, ridden by
Chin Kok Keong, sprang a huge surprise in the RM45,000 Dato Yeoh Cheang Lee
Trophy (Class 4 - 2000m) when won comfortably by one length and returned
RM170 on the win tote.
This is despite the gelding
being placed a few times this year since his relocation from Singapore where
he recorded three wins when racing as ROUGH DAY.
RAMIFICATIONS, first-up
winner in June, registered her second win in four starts when she triumphed
in the Magic Millions 2YO In Training & Racehorse Auction Trophy for three
and four-year-olds.
Ridden by apprentice Chung
Wah Thong, the four-year-old mare started favourite and paid RM13 for a win.
