BALOTELLI showed too much class for his rivals
when he scored a runaway win in his debut here today.
Ridden by apprentice Shafrizal Salleh, the New Zealand gelding
was quickly out of the gate and led his rivals on a merry chase to win by
three and a quarter lengths in the Restricted Maiden - 1300m event.
BALOTELLI is a full brother to DRAGON
COMMANDER, who won in his second start in Singapore but unfortunately never
ran a place again after that.
BALOTELLI, purchased by his owners for
NZ$40,000 at the Ready-To-Run sale, will be hoping for a more successful
career. Meanwhile,
JOE CZARINA set a new course record when he coasted home to win the Table 1
set-weight event over 1400m, returning a tme of 1min. 20.6secs. This
bettered the previous best time of 1min 21.16secs. set by CIZEN WORLD in
2012. It was the
ninth win 33 starts for JOE CZARINA.
