Stormy Bruce blows away rivals

PENANG:  Nov 2, 2014

After a late start to his racing career, STORMY BRUCE continued to move up the ladder with a hard-fought but deserving win in the main event, the Enrich Stakes A - 1300m event here today.

The Australian gelding was four years old when he made his racing debut in January last year, and in the space of two months, started five times for two seconds and three third placings.

After spending 14 months on the sidelines, STORMY BRUCE returned to racing with another third placing last May but since breaking through for his maiden win the following month, has gone on to pick up three more wins and two seconds in as many outings since.

Ridden by Martin Wepner, STORMY BRUCE faced his biggest test yet today and thanks to a 9kg pull in the weight, managed to see off RUSH by a head in the heavy going.
