After finishing unplaced in
his debut ride last week, new apprentice Wong Chin Chuen was quick to learn
from the experience when he booted home STUB in a Class 5 - 1600m handicap
here today.
It was his only ride of the
afternoon.
Wong was also nominated on
STUB, trained by Peter Lee, last week but the Australia five-year-old failed
to get a run as an emergency acceptor.
STUB, winner of his only
race in Brisbane, was placed twice in eight runs in Singapore before
crossing the causeway.
In Malaysia, STUB finally
managed a win in February last year but has been unplaced since - until
today. It was his second win in 25 starts in the country.
