Jose De Souza bagged a
superb hat-trick at Sungei Besi here today to bring his season's tally to 50,
the exact number of winners he rode last year when he finished runner-up to
Jai Shankar who had 52 wins.
The Brazilian now leads Shankar by 11 winners
but with five more months of the season to go, it's still any one's title
this season. Shankar
is not giving up his crown without a fight, landing a double of his own
today.
SEA WORLD makes it two
consecutive wins with a runaway victory to set De Souza on the way.
The in-form KINGFIGHTER was
another runaway winner for De Souza, makes it three wins from six starts
this season.
De Souza, who partnered
REAL MEAN to his maiden win last time out, was again victorious on the
four-year-old.
All De Souza's winners
started overwhelming favourites.
