FAALTLESS cruising to victory for his fourth win in five starts

FAALTLESS put in another perfect display to win the Class 3 - 1100m sprint on the polytrack at Kranji here today, making it four wins from five starts.

Ridden by John Powell, the New Zealand gelding quickly took command of the six-horse field (after two withdrawals) to win by two and a half lengths.

The  three-year-old has thus far lived up to the expectations of his trainer Shane Baertschiger who paid NZ$160,000 for him at the Ready To Run sale.

There is much to look forward to with FAALTLESS for his dam, a winner of two races at 1400, is a half-sister to the eight-time Group 1 winner SO YOU THINK.

After winning his first two starts and then a second, FAALTLESS was given a four-month let-up and has won both his two runs back.

"I’ve had the 3YO series in my sights from a long way out and that’s why I gave him just three runs before spelling him. I had to look after him," explains Bertschiger.
