INDIAN JADE is sparkling
again in Singapore after a failed albeit brief campaign in Hong Kong.
Ridden by Manoel Nunes, the
English gelding started favourite and was well off the pace early. He did
not look like winning until well into the home stretch before coming through
with a flourish to gain victory by a neck.
It was his second win in
four starts, having won his Singapore debut back in March and then found one
to beat in his next two starts.
INDIAN JADE won two races
in England before crossing the English Channel to run third in the Group 1
Grand Criterium over 1400m at Longchamp from just six starts at two.
He was brought over to Hong
Kong but failed to show up in two starts there before his owners decided to
bring him to Singapore.
INDIAN JADE was using
blinkers tonight. "He was a lot more switched on with the blinkers, but
again he had that tendency to drop the bit," said Nunes who also rode him in
his last two starts.
"But once he hit top gear,
he was just too good for them. He’s going to be better over more ground."
