The licences of two senior and former big-name jockeys, Danny Chee and Lee Soo Hin, have been cancelled.

Chee, 45, had ridden a 258 winners in a career spanning more than two decades but he has been struggling big time in recent seasons when plying his trade mainly in Singapore.

His last decent season was in 2007 when he landed 11 winners in Singapore and two in Malaysia.

Chee drew a blank in three consecutive seasons at Kranji from 2008 to 2010, managing only one win in Malaysia during this period (in 2010).

He rode three winners in 2011, failed to win a winner the following year and landed just one win at Kranji last year.

Chee's biggest win came in the 1988 Yang Di Pertua Negeri Gold Cup with partnering the late Ivan Allan-trained ST GALLEN.

Lee, 42, has 268 winners to his name and is more successful in the big races, winning the 2001 and 2002 Perak Derby on OPPOSING FORCE, then trained by Bonny Ng.

In 2002, Lee, who rides mainly in Malaysia, also won the Sprint Trophy on the same horse who by now was trained by Richard Lines.

His fortunes also took a dive in recent times. After riding seven winners in 2012, he failed to score last year.

The Malayan Racing Association has also cancelled the licences of jockey Mohd Affandi bin Taib (16 career wins) and apprentice Khoo Kay Keat.
