Jerome Tan saddled three
winners at his home base here today to set a personal best record since
taking up a licence to train in 2009.
Success with SPEED FLYING,
LEMON LAW and SPEED STAR brought his tally for the season to 25, placing him
seventh in the trainer's table behind Richard Lines with 56 wins.
Last start winner SPEED
FLYING easily accounted for five rivals in the opening event for his fifth
win in 21 starts.
LEMON LAW made it three
wins in 13 starts while SPEED STAR created the shock of the day in the final
event, paying RM123 for a win in his third win in 15 runs.
From just nine winners in
his debut season in 2009, Singapore-born Tan quickly elevated himself the
following season with 23 winners and went one better in 2011.
Tan had his fair share of
winners in 2012 with 17 and last season recorded 23 wins.
With five more racing days
to go in the season, Tan looks odds-on to improve on his personal best
score.
