Lady Killer regains winning instinct

LADY KILLER, one of the few remaining horses raced by champion owners Golden Knight Stable who has virtually pulled out of racing, is back in the winner's circle after a lapse of nearly four years.

The Australian mare scored her only previous win in July 2010 and has been struggling to find her winning form since.

Ridden by Thanggarajaneesh Munusamy (M Ganeesh), LADY KILLER came from well off the pace early to win drawing away by three and three-quarter lengths in a Class 5 - 1600m handicap here today.

TANHA STRIKE, meanwhile, came out of a seven-month spell to score a gutsy win in the Enrich Stakes A set-weight event over 1200m, and set a new (long) course record with a time of 1:9.36.

The previous best was recorded by ECHO-LOGICAL with a time of 1:9.8 in 1994.

Ridden by Wan Teck Moon, the Australian seven-year-old made every post a winning one but had to stave off a determined challenge by ROUGH DAY before getting home ahead by a neck.

TANHA STRIKE scored thrice in 2012 and had another win last July  and was spelled after one further unplaced run.
