Apprentice MM Firdaus makes Kranji debut

SINGAPORE:  Aug 20, 2014

Having done well in his home country, Malaysian apprentice Mohamad Firdaus Mansor (MM Firdaus) is ready to prove himself at Kranji.

Firdaus rode three winners in 2012 and in his first full season last year, he booted home 19 winners to finish second in the Malaysian apprentice table behind Rueven Ravindra (who had 26 wins).

After riding just two winners this year, Rueven headed south and has done well in Singapore with 13 wins to date.

Firdaus was riding in great form with doubles and even a treble before he decided to head south to join trainer Patrick Shaw. He is currently second on the table in Malaysia with 13 wins, just one behind Tham Kin Chong.

After several weeks of riding track work at Kranji, Firdaus will make his Kranji debut on Friday with two rides (GOLD LINE and DOMENICO) for his master. He has another ride (LET IT ROCK) on Sunday.
