Murphy steals show with three winners

KUALA LUMPUR:  Mar 2, 2014

Irish trainer Daniel Murphy enjoyed his best ever day since making a comeback last year (winning two races in 2013) when he saddled three winners at Sungei Besi here today.

With only a small team in training, Murphy scored only two wins in the first two months of the season but his team was on fire today. His four entries yielded three wins and a second.

First to strike was KINGFIGHTER who scored his second win for Murphy this season and has three wins from 14 starts.

LAST MAN STANDING, the only other horse who has won for Murphy this year, was back in the winner's circle with a narrow victory and has now three wins from 18 runs.

CHASE THE DREAM, who has not won for 20 months but has a string of minor placings in the last few months, found a change of fortunes to record his seventh win since 2010.
