Wonderful Prince stays unbeaten at Kranji

The grass at Kranji seems to be greener for both WONDERFUL PRINCE and SCRAPPER WELL.

WONDERFUL PRINCE, who failed to show up in two starts in Australia, is now unbeaten in three starts in Singapore after an easy win in the Graduation - 1400m sprint at Kranji here today.

One of the first to break, Manoel Nunes, riding the New Zealand gelding for the third time, parked him just behind the pace on the rails, gradually eased him out for a run at the top of the straight.

Once he got clear, WONDERFUL PRINCE challenged for the lead at the 200m and won drawing away by one and three-quarter lengths.

SCRAPPER WELL was brought to Hong Kong after chalking up a win and two seconds from four starts as a juvenile in Ireland. But the English gelding failed to adapt there and failed to show up in six starts.

His owners then shipped him to Singapore and after two tune-up runs, scored a runaway win in the Class 4, Div 1 - 1200m on the polytrack today.
