Edylyn Goh, who became the
first woman trainer to win the Perak Derby with LITTLEBITOFJOY in April last
year, saddled her first winner since when RAPID APPROACH took out the final
event here today.
It has been a frustrating
12 months for the trainer who only has a small team in training.
But the recent addition of
RAPID APPROACH to her yard brought a change of fortune for the former
amateur rider-turned-trainer.
RAPID APPROACH raced two
two seasons in Ireland, winning a Maiden at three and was placed three times
in nine starts.
In Malaysia, RAPID APPROACH
made his debut last month and was unplaced but quickly stepped on that run
to beat the well-backed STAR QUALITY for an upset win.
