Rueven and Firdaus making their marks

Malaysia's top two apprentices last season, Rueven Ravindra and Mohamad Firdaus Mansor, have done themselves proud since relocating to Singapore this season.

Rueven, who booted home 26 winners last year, took the first two races on BANKERS CALL and TIP OF BORNEO and was unplaced one his other ride of the evening in the last race which was won by Firdaus on PRECIOUS GEM, the latter's third ride in the programme.

The double brought Rueven's tally in Singapore to 18. He left for Singapore early in the season after riding two winners in Malaysia.

Firdaus, who has 19 wins last year, moved south mid-season after riding 13 winners in Malaysia and was in a great position to take the title in the country.

But the chance to ride against some of the best riders in the region proved too great a chance to pass up and has now seven wins to his name in Singapore.
