New-gal-on-the-block Anna Maree Scott will saddle her first runner, WYATT EARP, in the novelty meeting to held at Sungei Besi here on Saturday.

It is a track the New Zealand born Scott is most familiar with.

After starting her career in the racing industry as a travelling foreperson in 1997 with Australian trainer Bill Mitchell, Scott travelled to Malaysia and spent the next year as a senior track rider for trainer Tan Soo Beng.

After that she worked as a stable supervisor for fellow Kiwi Jonathan Sargent for another year before returning home to New Zealand and obtained her trainer’s licence in 2001.

She has also held a Jumps Jockey Licence for a period of three years in New Zealand.
