Before today, apprentice
Shafrizal Salleh has ridden just four winners in the 2014 season, the same
haul he had last year in his first season in the saddle.
But Shafrizal doubled his
tally for the year when he booted home four winners from a full book of nine
rides here today.
Indentured to Jerome Tan,
Shafrizal began the afternoon on a bright note, winning first race on ACME
(RM20) for his master before doubling the score on CIZEN BROTHER who broke
the duck in his 12th start and paid a handsome RM112 for a win.
Later in the afternoon, he
won back-to-back to races again on BALOTELLI (RM10) and LEMON LAW (RM93).
The former, purchased by
his owners for NZ$40,000 at the Ready To Run sale, has now won four of his
eight starts.
