Big upset by Snatch Law in maiden win

SNATCH LAW dealt one of the biggest surprise of the season when he broke through for his maiden win in a Class 5 - 1200m handicap here today.

Placed just once in 11 previous starts, the Australian mare out-sprinted the odds-on favourite PADDY'S PARK, cruising to a three-length victory and paid RM324 on the win tote.

Two races later, punters were left reeling again when LITTLE BUT FIERCE beat another favourite ITS ONLY MONEY to pay RM213 for a win.

It was only the second win in 21 starts for the Australian gelding who began his career in New Zealand, with a win and two placings from five starts before coming up to Singapore. Today's success was his first in Malaysia.
