Singapore raises prizemoney

SINGAPORE:  Apr 1, 2014

The Singapore Turf Club will increase prizemoney for selected races from today.

"The various increases are aimed at encouraging owners and trainers to target the importation of younger and better quality horses as well as ensuring that the majority of horses in Singapore have the opportunities to compete for higher prizemonies.

"Benchmark races and other ad hoc races will be allocated the appropriate prizemoney in accordance with current policies," the Club said in a statement today.

The increases are as follows:

Prizemoney for Class 1, Kranji Stakes A, Class 5 and Maiden races remain unchanged.
