A week after making a dream
start to his career in Singapore with a debut win on LEAVE ME ALONE, Kif Toh
has made the headlines again.
This time the apprentice
won both his two rides on ZEDKAAR and REAL GOODMAN at Kranji here tonight,
to make it three wins from four rides thus far.
While his debut win was for
trainer Mohd Yusof, his first strike tonight was for his master Michael
Clements on ZEDKAAR. The four-year-old benefited from two runs to score by a
neck in the Initiation - 1200m sprint.
"This win is even more
special this time as it was for my boss. He has been the trainer who has
supported me the most here,” said Toh. "He teaches me a lot and even sent me
to New Zealand for two years."
Toh's second win did not
come easy as well. He had to work overtime before bringing REAL GOODMAN home
a winner in the Class 5 - 1600m handicap.
Ironically, the Tan Hor
Khoon-trained REAL GOODMAN beat his master's runner WEOWNA FLYER by a head.
Despite his early
successes, Toh has his feet firmly on the ground. "I’m still learning what
riding is all about and my aim is to go out there and make every effort to
learn as much as I can," he said.
