War Time victorious again after long lapse

After winning his debut ride two Sundays ago, Mauritian jockey Nooresh Juglall had to wait until today to boot home his second winner  in Singapore astride WAR TIME.

WAR TIME, winner of two races in 2012, last tasted success in January last year and his form nosedived after that, prompting trainer Leslie Khoo to spell him for 10 months before resuming racing in January this year.

WAR TIME showed a return to form last start when second to PRINCE MAG in a Kranji Stakes D event over 2000m three weeks ago and he stepped up on that effort to lead all the way in the Class 4 - 1800m handicap on the polytrack today, beating the Derby aspirant VERGLATICA by three-quarter length.

"His form suddenly dropped off and it’s taken him time to recover from that," said Khoo.
