Lee lands second win in another upset

KUALA LUMPUR:  Aug 9, 2014

A week after a lucky break brought Lee Wai Keat his first winner, the apprentice has backed it up with another win astride JETPOT in a Class 5 - 1300m handicap at Sungei Besi here today.

Last Sunday, Lee was a last minute replacement on JET ACE, trained by Lawson Moy, and he seized the opportunity with both hands, partnering the gelding to an upset win.

Lee has just two rides that day. But with the breakthrough win behind him, he picked up seven rides in this novelty meeting featuring 10 races.

JETPOT was also not supported on the tote and paid RM117 for a win. It was just the second win in 24 starts for the French gelding.
