Good Baby wins second Sprint Trophy in style

GOOD BABY coasting to victory in the 2015 Sprint Trophy
GOOD BABY revelled in the heavy going to register his second win in three years in the RM550,000 Sprint Trophy here today, and continued the remarkable run of new trainer Ooi Chin Chin in the big races since November last year.

This year's Sprint Trophy was sponsored by Woodside Park Stud.

GOOD BABY, who won the Magic Millions Classic in 2011, the Sultan Gold Vase in 2012 and the Sprint Trophy and Selangor Gold Cup in 2013 under trainer Kevin Coetzee, gave Ooi his first big win in the Coronation Cup (1600m) last November.

Ooi then saddled BALOTELLI to win the Tunku Gold Cup (1200m) in February and the Perak Gold Vase (1100m straight) two weeks ago.

GOOD BABY, ridden by champion jockey Jose De Souza, was always travelling well in the capacity field. While his rivals struggled in the going, the seven-year-old found another gear in the final 300m and kicked away to win by eight lengths.

It was his 13th win in 45 starts and bringing his earnings to more than RM2.5 million.
