Lee Bank on the money in New Year Cup

KUALA LUMPUR:  Jan 1, 2015

Richard Lines, who has won the Malaysian trainer's premiership for the past four consecutive years, began the new season with a double at his home base here today.

But it was Frank Maynard who had the honour of taking the year's first race with HAHA BABE. The Aussie went on to saddle two more winners in CAPRICCI PRINCE and SEE FOR YOURSELF.

Lines was successful with BRIGHT LIFE and SHINING GLORY.

The day's feature event, the New Year Cup, went to the Johnny Lim-trained LEE BANK who broke the duck in Malaysia after six outings last season for a second in his debut.

The English entirely raced for two seasons at three and four for three wins and seven placings in 18 starts.
