Darci Charmer starts new season with a bang

After winning four of his 10 starts in his maiden season last year, DARCI CHARMER began the new season in the best possible manner winning the Benchmark 83 - 1200m sprint at Kranji here tonight.

His come-from-behind victory, courtesy of a brilliant ride by Nooresh Juglall, denied the favourite DRAGON DYNASTY a hat-trick.

In an evening of doubles, trainer Tan Hor Khoon scored an early double with RORY and SUPER EIGHT and was quickly matched by Hideyuki Takaoka who saddled GALAXY EXPRESS and ACROSS THE SEA to victory.

Then it was the turn of Michael Clements who sent out DARCI CHARMER and BRAVO CHARLIE to success.

Amongst the jockeys, Alan Munro (GALAXY EXPRESS and BRAVO CHARLIE) and Manoel Nunes (ANY CHOICE and ROSADO) booted home a double each.
