Mr Dreyfuss off the mark with shock win

PENANG:  Dec 20, 2015

MR DREYFUSS, who finished last in a capacity field of 16 runners over 1300m on this track two weeks ago, stunned racegoers when he easily won the opening event over a shorter 1100m today.

The New Zealand gelding came to Singapore unraced and his best effort in six starts at Kranji was a third in Restricted Maiden company last February.

MR DREYFUSS managed a respectable fourth two starts ago and in his fifth start in the country, finally greeted the judge with a two-length victory to pay RM144 for a win.

There was also long waited wins for REMARKABLE and TREASUREINTHEHEART.

REMARKABLE won a maiden event in 14 starts in New Zealand and managed just two seconds in 21 starts in Malaysia before making the breakthrough today.

After struggling to find the mark in 15 starts in Singapore, with just one second to his name, TREASUREINTHEHEART started favourite and duly obliged in his second outing in Malaysia. The gelding won four races from seven starts in his native Argentina.
